USA Basketball squads select trio of Spartans

Chris Hill, Maurice Ager and Paul Davis were all selected as finalists to compete this summer for USA Basketball teams. Hill, who will be a junior this fall was one of 17 to possibly make the Pan-Am team, while Ager and Davis qualified for the Men's Junior World Championship team.

All three Spartans were selected after a three-day tryout in Colorado Springs, Colo. concluded on Sunday. Hill if selected will join MSU head coach Tom Izzo who was selected to lead the Pan-Am team in April. Some of the other notable finalists for the Pan-Am team were Syracuse's Hakim Warrick, Connecticut's Emeka Okafor and Texas' Brandon Mouton. The 17 finalists will be whittled down to 12 during the team's training camp, July 21-29, in Orlando, Fla. For sophomores to be Ager and Davis, they were two of the 16 selected to represent the United States in the Men's Junior World Championships in Greece. Other finalists include Illinois' James Augustine and Dee Brown and Duke's J.J. Redick. That 12-man team will be during that team's training camp that takes place June 24-July 6 in Dallas.
