First Look: Georgia Offense

We take a look at the Georgia Bulldogs offense as we get closer to kickoff of the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida.

Michigan State will battle a Georgia team coming off a 42-10 loss in the SEC Championship against LSU. After getting off to a fast 10-0 advantage against the Tigers, the Bulldogs struggled for the next three quarters not putting another point on the scoreboard.

Offensive Starters Returned at Start of the Season

QB – Aaron Murray: Redshirt sophomore who has started 26 games during his career. Earned All-SEC second team honors from the Associated Press and SEC Coaches in 2011.

OG – Cordy Glenn: Four year starter who was elected as one of the team's offensive captains. Is second all-time at UGA with 49 career starts.

C – Ben Jones: Team overall captain who was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy in 2001. Earn many honors and was named to UGA's Team of the Decade. Has started since his true freshman year after enrolling early.

TE – Orson Charles: The tight end is a major receiving threat for the Bulldogs having posted 575 yards and five touchdowns this season on 44 catches.

Top Offensive Performer: Quarterback Aaron Murray started 13 games this season hitting on just over 58% of his passes for 2,861 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Most Points Scored In Game: 63 at home against New Mexico State

Least Points Scored In Game: 10 at neutral site against LSU in SEC Championship game.

Offensive Coordinator: Mike Bobo

Mike Bobo is a name well known in college football having earned four letters for Georgia from 1994-1997. Head coach Mark Richt brought the former Bulldogs star quarterback back to his alma mater in January, 2001 to coach quarterback and he took over coordinator duties in 2007.

During his coaching career, Bobo has coached first round draft pick Matthew Stafford. He's also seen great success with David Greene, D.J. Shockley and current starter Aaron Murray who was a freshman All-American last season.
