Quick Look Bulldogs Special Teams

We take a quick look at the key players for Georgia on special teams.

P: Drew Butler – One of the best punters in the country, Butler punted 51 times for 2,260 yards (44.3 avg) with a long of 62 yards. Overall, Butler saw 19 of his punts land inside the twenty and another 12 be fair caught. No punts were blocked this season.

PR: Brandon Boykin / Branden Smith – The Bulldogs use Boykin and Smith to return punts. On the season Boykin has 13 returns for 88 yards and Smith has nine for 70 yards. The Bulldogs have not scored on a punt return this season while they have given up two on the year.

PK: Blair Walsh - Walsh has enjoyed a solid career for the Bulldogs. In 2011 he went 19-of-31 on FGs, and was a perfect 44-of-44 on PATs. The Bulldogs had no field goals blocked this season.

KOR: Brandon Boykin – Not only does Boykin return punts, he is also the team's returner on kickoffs. This season he set the Georgia career mark in return yards with 2,593 (106 ret.), which ranks second in SEC history. He is also the only player in SEC history with three 100-yard plays of any kind. However, this season he's not returned a kickoff for a score.

Snapper: Ty Frix - The Bulldogs primary snapper appeared in 13 games in each of the past three seasons. A bit undersized at 6-foot, 213-pounds, Frix will be tested by the Spartans punt return squad.
