Comments - Trent Varva, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound, offensive lineman from Lake Orion (MI) Community will be one of the top Midwest prospects in 2003.
Varva will be a three-year varsity starter in 2003. Last year he was named 1st team all-state.
"I have offers from Penn State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Colorado, Boston College, Indiana and Illinois." Trent Varva said.
"The four schools I'm really interested in right now are Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Penn State and Oklahoma. I wouldn't say there's a leader out of that group.
"I'm slated to go to seven camps this summer. I'm going to Penn State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame for sure and I'll be going to a couple of more camps."
Varva projects as an offensive lineman at the next level but he had a very good year last year on the defensive line, finishing with 56 tackles, eight pass deflections and three interceptions.
