Position(s) - Defensive End, Defensive Tackle

Height, Weight, Speed - 6-5, 240, 4.7

Honors - All-Conference in 2002.

Scholarship Offers - No scholarship offers at this time.

Favorites - Illinois, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Indiana.

Comments - Tim Johnson transferred to Homewood-Flossmoor from Chicago (Mt. Carmel) and played his first year of organized football a year ago.

Johnson has a tremendous upside and could play on either side of the ball at the next level. Most college recruiters feel Johnson will be a defensive tackle in the future.

"I don't have any offers yet," said Tim Johnson. "Michigan said they are close to offering but I haven't gotten anything in writing yet.

"I got calls in May from Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee, Indiana and Western Michigan.

"My favorites are Illinois, Florida, Ohio State, Michigan State, Indiana and Michigan."

Johnson says he'll be camping at Illinois this summer.
