McGowan Enjoyed Visit

While Benny McGowan may not have visited as much as he would have liked during the season, this weekend's official visit made up for lost time. We check in with the longtime Spartans pledge about his time in East Lansing.

Offensive linemen love to hang out together and that was no exception during Centerville (Ohio) offensive lineman Benny McGowan's official visit to Michigan State.

"It was fun," said McGowan about his official visit. "Travis Jackson was my host and we hung out with Zach Higgins who was hosted by Jack Allen and Kodi Kieler and his host."

With National Signing Day fast approaching, McGowan has seen the reality of it all start to sink in.

"It's starting to sink in a little bit," McGowan explained. "Each day it sinks in just a little more and it will be here before I know it."

During his visit McGowan spent time with Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio and offensive line coach Mark Staten.

"I sat down in Coach D's office and we talked about a lot of things," McGowan continued. "I also sat down with Coach Staten and watched some film. They both talked about how they've got something special going at Michigan State and they look forward to me being part of it and helping it continue."

As with all official visits the weekend was full of food.

"I can't remember the name of the restaurant," he said. "But it was great as I ate steak and lobster."
