Saturday Stock Report 1/28/2012

Here is a stock report of where the Spartans stand with several prospects still on the board heading toward National Signing Day.

Just where and how Michigan State closes out the 2012 recruiting class has yet to be seen. However, after working the phones the past 24-hours we come to some ideal as to the stock status of each.

Jordan Diamond – The big offensive tackle has talked a good game for the past year but never really gave the Spartans the time they deserved. Lots of talk he'll be headed to Michigan when all is said and done. Stock: Sell

Demetrious Cox – The Jeannette (Pa.) product was thought to be down to Ohio State with the Spartans on the outside looking in. That has now reversed and we've been told Cox has started working the phones this weekend with members of the 2012 & 2013 class to start thinking Green. Stock: Buy

Kyle Dodson – Another prospect where talk was Ohio State being the team to beat. My sources have said this battle is now down between USC and MSU. If the Spartans can pull in Dodson and Cox by Wednesday, Dantonio and crew finish stronger than any year past. Stock: Hold almost a Buy.

Monty Madaris – The recruiting saga for the Cincinnati native has been a crazy one for sure. This weekend was to see Madaris taking an official visit to Kentucky where he would have been welcomed with open arms. However, both MSU and Cincinnati staffs warned they would be out if the visit happened. Stock: Hold almost a Buy.

Bam Bradley – With Cox looking like an almost lock to the Spartans; Bradley is now focused on Pitt and Arizona. Almost did not list him but there was some last minute talks between the two parties. Stock: Sell

Terrell Jackson – This one should be all said and done by this time on Sunday. I don't feel the Spartans would have brought Jackson in for an official and issued an offer 24-hour before without thoughts of taking his pledge. Jackson has wanted this offer for a long time. Stock: Buy

Tevin Coleman – An in-home visit by running back coach Brad Salem with hopes of getting Coleman's father on campus this weekend is still a work in progress. If a visit happens it's a sign the Spartans are in the driver's seat. Stock: Hold for at least one more day and sell if no visit.

Jamichael Winston – The south defensive end would fill a major need for the Spartans and getting him on campus will go a long way in making the outcome a positive one. With the possibility of another top Spartan defender leaving early next season, getting Winston in this class is almost a must. Look for the Spartans to try and lock up a pledge before Winston leaves campus. Stock: Hold
