Jeppesen, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound offensive lineman from Portage (MI) Central High School already holds offers from Western and Central Michigan. However, it's been the Spartans, Jeppesen wants to hear from.
Sunday found Jeppesen back in East Lansing taking in some hoops action and learning where he stands with the MSU staff.
"It was pretty nice," Jeppesen said about his visit. "Anytime you can watch Michigan State against Michigan in basketball is always fun."
As for his football future, Jeppesen also learned where he stands.
"The coaches have said an offer is pending now," Jeppesen explained. "They've been narrowing things down and feel they are getting close. So we'll see what happens."
As Jeppesen has learned, coaches at MSU are keeping everyone informed with the process.
"Cameron Dillard was also there Sunday and they told both of us the exact same thing as to where we stand."
If offered would Jeppesen be one to pull the trigger and pledge to the Green & White?
"I'm not 100% positive on that right now," said Jeppesen. "But it would be very, very hard to turn down."
Depending upon what he hears in the coming days may determine if Jeppesen returns for a Junior Day visit later in the month.
