Latham No Stranger To Spartans

Lineman Darius Latham has visited Michigan State in the past. See what he thinks about the Spartans since receiving an offer this week.

Michigan State joins several other programs in pursuing Indianapolis (IN) North Central High School lineman Darius Latham.

The Spartans offered the 6-foot-5, 285-pounder this week and Latham is no stranger to the Spartans program.

"Michigan State is a very good football school," said Latham. "I visited there in the fall for their game against Florida Atlantic."

Heading up the Spartans recruiting efforts is quarterback coach Dave Warner. However, he's not the only coach Latham has spoken with.

"Coach Warner is recruiting me and we've spoken a couple of times," continued Latham. "He also came to school and watched me practice. I've also spoken with Coach D (Mark Dantonio)."

Where do the Spartans stand as compared to his other offers?

"I'm up to nine or ten offers," he said. "I have no favorites right now as I'm looking at academics and looking to see where I best fit in." Are there any plans to visit East Lansing in the near future?

"Yes," said Latham. "I plan on getting up there at some point for a Junior Day or a spring practice. However, right now I'm in basketball so it will have to wait until the season is over."
