West Coast DL Looking To Big Ten

Wednesday found defensive lineman Eddie Vanderdoes adding to his early offer list. However, there is a school he'd really like to hear from in the Big Ten. Who is this school? SpartanDigest.com has the latest.

The heat is on for one of California's top prospects in the 2013 recruiting class.

Defensive tackle prospect Eddie Vanderdoes of Auburn (CA) Placer High School added offers from two Michigan State rivals Notre Dame and Michigan this week. However, it's the Spartans Vanderdoes is hoping to hear from.

I like the Spartans," said Vanderdoes. "I've watched them a few times on television and I really like how they run their defense."

While there was a quick report of an offer from MSU, there was some misunderstanding.

What type of contact has there been with MSU?

"Michigan State is definitely a school that intrigues me," Vanderdoes explained. "I've received a few questioners but I've not been in contact with them. I hope that changes."

At 6-foot-4, 285-pounds, Vanderdoes could be a player the Spartans could look to in hopes of bolstering the defensive tackle position.

SpartanDigest.com will continue to follow Vanderdoes to see if the Spartans reach out and make more contact in the near future.
