Cha Cha Hungry for More Offers

Lansing Eastern (Mich.) junior guard Charles "Cha Cha" Tucker Jr talks about his collective division one offers and rising college interest.

Lansing Eastern (Mich.) 6-foot-0, 170-pound junior guard Cha Cha Tucker Jr. has been a top recruit since his freshman year at Lansing Eastern and he has only just started to collect an impressive offer list.

"I currently have offers from Western Michigan, Kent State, Toledo and Jacksonville." Tucker replied. "Right now I am truly blessed to have so many offers, I don't take any of them for granted and I am honored that so many schools have interest in me and would like me to play for them. I was able to visit Toledo during the football season which was fun and I plan to visit Kent State very soon."

Tucker is currently averaging 12 points and 8 assists a gameand that type of play has not been loss upon schools like Memphis, Florida State, Kansas, Iowa and Miami.

"To have major Division One schools like this interested in me is once again a true blessing." Tucker said. "Opportunities like this only encourage me to work harder and turn those looks in to offers."

Tucker has powerful Michigan State connections. Most people remember that his father, Dr. Charles Tucker, was an advisor to Magic Johnson during his Spartans days and the Tuckers have stayed close to the Spartans program since. Tucker has current interest from MSU and is eager to earn an offer.

"I love Michigan State, I have had the great opportunity to go up to the campus many times and interact with the coaches and players." Tucker replied. "Every time I am on campus the people are warm and friendly but when it's game time it gets crazy and I love it. It's great to be recruited by Michigan State but I am definitely looking to earn an offer."

Tucker is thrilled to have so many offers and interest but says he is constantly having a hard time deciding where to commit and doesn't plan to commit any time soon.

"I honestly have no plans to commit in the near future." Tucker said. "I change my mind on what school is best for me every day. Sometimes I think it's better to stay home or at least close to home and other times I'm ready to move to a different state. When I make my decision it will mainly be based around what school I feel is the best fit for me."

Tucker is also looking forward to his final AAU season but says he is unsure right now about what AAU Team he will be playing for.

"At the moment I am unsure if I will be playing with my usual AAU Team which is the Ohio Red or another team." Tucker replied. "My parents recently have mentioned they may want me to play closer to home this AAU season, nothing is set in stone right now but there is a possibility. One thing's for sure no matter what team I am with, I plan to compete. I am going into this AAU season wanting to win every game, some may some that is unrealistic but that's just my mind set."
