Edwards Open To Taking Different Path

Despite a brother who played for Michigan, Berkley Edwards is positive about Michigan State. SpartanDigest.com spoke with the Chelsea (Mich.) running back about his interest.

Despite having a brother who played for Michigan, Berkley Edwards has no problems looking or thinking about donning the Green & White of Michigan State.

"I have interest in anybody who is willing to give me a full scholarship," explained Edwards. "I like the process so far and feel the key is to get exposure and attend a lot of camps."

Having attended the Spartans recent Junior Day, Edwards was able to catch another family member battling for the Spartans.

"I visited for a Junior Day," said Edwards. "I was only able to attend the basketball game on that day because I was in a state track meet that day. It was a good visit as I got to watch my cousin Brandan Kearney, who plays for Michigan State."

What is Edwards looking for in a school?

"I'm looking for playing time and which program has produced the most NFL running backs. Academics are also important."

Has Edwards placed a timeline on when he'd like to make his decision?

"No, I'm just going to let it play out the way it plays out," said Edwards.
