Quick Look: Central Michigan

Michigan State follows up a tough opening weekend with a short trip up to Mount Pleasant (MI) to battle former Spartan Dan Enos and his Central Michigan Chippewas.

Game No. 2 – Central Michigan
Date: 9/8/2012 – Mount Pleasant, Michigan – Kelly/Shorts Stadium
Conference: Mid-American
2011 Record: 3-9
Last Bowl Game: GMAC Bowl – (2009) - Defeated Troy 44-41 2OT

Head Coach: Dan Enos - 6-18 (2 seasons)

The former Spartan quarterback marks his third season as the Chippewas head coach with a lot of eyes on how his team performs. After taking over a program losing the best quarterback to ever play in the program, Enos found a roster lacking depth and has worked hard to bring more talent since taking over.

Biggest Question for 2012: Can Enos get the Chippewas back to the top of the MAC?

After two seasons with young players at key positions Enos will enter the 2012 season with one of the most experienced offenses in the Mid-American Conference.

Ryan Radcliff has posted solid numbers during his career and enters his senior season as one of the top quarterbacks in schools history.

The Ohio native will have a solid group of receivers to throw to and a veteran offensive line to block for him.

Central Michigan must improve on defense as they gave up an average of 428 yards per game in 2011.

For Enos and his team to have success they must stay healthy if they are to reach their full potential.

Early Prediction: The Spartans offense should have the kinks worked out and the defense should be ready to tee off on Radcliff. While there have been some exciting games between these two programs in the past, 2012 will find a Spartans team ready and willing to post a dominate victory.
