Khoury Planing Visit To MSU

Traverse City, Michigan native Jake Khoury has continued working on his game attending camps and combines the past two years. This year Khoury took part in the Adidas Invitational and spoke with Spartan Digest following his work about his interest in the Spartans.

Traverse City (MI) St. Francis has been good to Michigan State the past few years and one player from the school is hoping the ties between the two can help open the eyes of the Spartans coaching staff when the 2014 recruiting class comes around.

Jake Khoury is not afraid to show his toughness on the wrestling mat and continues to work on his football game attending camps and combines as much as possible.

Khoury, who is hearing from several programs about his football future has always been impressed by the job Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio has done in East Lansing and is hoping to make a campus visit this weekend.

"I think I'll be going up there for their spring game," said Khoury. "I'm interested in seeing their intensity and how they play. I really like Michigan State and the area around it and definitely like the coaching staff they have. I also know some of the players they already have on the team."

While Khoury attended last year's event, this year he attended the Adidas Invitational with a new agenda on his mind.

"I definitely think it was a good experience for me to come here," said Khoury. "This gave us a chance to do a lot of work on our agility and show off our abilities in the one-on-ones.

"I also wanted to see the other talent out there to see who I've got to compete against to earn a scholarship."

While it's early, Khoury has heard from several programs.

"I've heard from Notre Dame, Central Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Michigan," said Khoury.
