Florida Two-Way Athlete Impressed By MSU

One of Florida's top 2014 prospects speaks positive about Michigan State and likes what he's seen. We check in with Vincent Jackson to learn more.

Tampa (FL) Jesuit High School two-way athlete Vincent Jackson knows a lot about Michigan State as the Spartans have known about him since he was a freshman.

"Michigan State came down for a practice and they've been recruiting me since like my freshman year," said Jackson. "I thought I was close to an offer but I'll have to ask about it when they come back down."

That contact could soon be coming as the Spartans coaching staff hits the road.

"Coach (Harlon) Barnett is the coach recruiting me," said Jackson. "They are recruiting me for either side of the ball but I really like how they use their tight ends in their offense. I also like how their defensive schemes are ran up there. I have no preference as I just prefer to be on the field."

Can the Spartans get Jackson on campus sometime in the future?

"If I come up to that part of the country I'll be looking to visit a couple of different schools in the area," said Jackson. "Michigan State would be one of the schools I would like to visit. They have invited me to come up for some games in the past and I would like to take them up on it."
