Georgia native Darqueze Dennard made great strides in his game last season and will enter the 2012 season as the starting field corner.
Coming off his best career game in the Outback Bowl against his home state team, Dennard will be a key element to the Michigan State defense as those behind him lack the experience possessed by the 5-foot-11, 190-pound junior.
Last season saw Dennard start 11 games giving him 13 career starts entering the Boise State game. He posted 42 tackles with three pass-break-ups and three interceptions, two in the win over Georgia.
Because of his experience and continued growth, Dennard made our No. 7 spot as an indispensable member of the Spartans football team in 2012.
