Ohio Defensive Lineman Likes Spartans

Ryan Stout still has two years of high school remaining before heading off to college. However, college programs have taken a notice expressing interest in getting the Northwest Ohio native on campus. Michigan State is one program Stout looks forward to seeing.

Being just across the border from Michigan has given Sylvania (OH) Southview lineman Ryan Stout a chance to watch Michigan and Michigan State over the years.

Stout, who stands 6-foot-5, 250-pounds has interest in both programs and will push to get his name in front of both programs next month.

"I'm going to camp at Toledo and Bowling Green with my team," said Stout. "I'm also going to camp at Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Illinois and West Virginia."

Growing up Stout rooted for one of the two teams across the Ohio border. However, he claims that will not come into play if he's extended an offer.

"I grew up a Michigan fan," said Stout. "But I kind of like Michigan State too. I know they are rivals, but if a school is interested in me, I don't see why I wouldn't go there especially if I like it there.

"As far as the schools I'm interested in, if a school likes me then I'm interested in them. I want to see where I like it best and how I fit in."
