"It was good," said Powell. "It gave me a chance to reconnect with everyone and work with (assistant) coach (Harlon) Barnett."
How was it to work with his future position coach?
"It was good and I really enjoyed it," said Powell. "He said I need to continue working on my backpedal."
What has life been like for Powell since giving his pledge to MSU?
"Life's been good," said Powell. "I've just been taking it easy right now."
One area Powell feels he's improved his game has come during the offseason.
"I've gotten stronger," said Powell. "Way stronger."
