Kilgore, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound super athlete out of one of the top prep programs in Ohio, visited the Spartans Wednesday and left impressed.
"My visit with Michigan State was great," said Kilgore. "I didn't commit as I'm planning on visiting Iowa and Kentucky soon. I'm also planning to visit Boston College in the first week of July, however, with the lesson I learned with the whole Cincinnati situation, I may have to pull the trigger soon."
During his visit Kilgore had a chance to spend time with Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio and wide receivers coach Terrence Samuel.
What did the Spartan coaches have to say?
"They had nothing but great things to say," said Kilgore. "They showed me everything on campus and gave me a lot of information and answered every question I had. They made it clear that they wanted me and were impressed with what I could do with the ball at the wide receiver position. Just as they were impressed, I was impressed with them and the whole school as well."
With several current Spartans already wearing Green & White, Kilgore had a chance to connect with one player already wearing the Green and White as well as a current wide receiver.
"I saw Joel Heath when I was up there and when I get back to Cincinnati I'll be calling Monty (Madaris) to see what he has to say about Michigan State," said Kilgore. "I also spoke with a wide receiver that transferred from Tennessee, DeAnthony Arnett. He told me after I asked for a comparison between the two schools nothing but great things about Michigan State as well.
With the clock running Kilgore could become a Spartan soon. Stay with Spartan Digest for the latest on Kilgore and other top prospects still considering the Green & White.
