Team USA Win Global Games

The USA Basketball Junior World Championship Team captured the gold medal with a 104-80 victory over the Global Games Select Team. MSU's Maurice Ager and Paul Davis led a balanced attack for Team USA.

Ager scored 12 points and Davis added seven points and five rebounds. For the tournament, Davis averaged 9.6 points per game and led the team in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds per game. Davis was also impressive from the free-throw line making 11-of-12 attempts. Ager averaged 10.6 points per game, which was third best on the team, while shooting 48 percent from the field. The Spartan duo will continue to improve their games as they head to Thessaloniki, Greece for the FIBA Junior World Championship that starts on Thursday. Also in Spartan basketball news: Tickets for "The Basketbowl," MSU's game with Kentucky at Ford Field, will go on sale to the Public on Tuesday. More than 19,000 tickets are available with tickets going for $8, $12 and $14.
