Pre-Snap Reads: Offensive Questions

We have a couple of questions for Michigan State fans to answer as we count down the days to the start of the 2012 football season.

Everyone knows Michigan State is without several key offensive members from the previous three seasons. After back-to-back 11 win seasons, have Mark Dantonio and his coaching staff hope to have built enough depth to keep the Spartans in the race for a return trip to Indianapolis? Read each question and give your answer on our Premium Members Message Board.

Is Andrew Maxwell ready to be The Man?

Andrew Maxwell watched the master Kirk Cousins work his magic and now it is his time to shine. With three years behind him, Maxwell should know the offense and be more prepared than any first year starting quarterback Mark Dantonio has ever worked with.

Maxwell won't have the same pressures his former teammate had when he took over the starting job as the Spartans return one of the conference's top running backs and enough quality players for the Green & White to build a solid offensive line.

Can Andrew Maxwell fill the shoes of Kirk Cousins and keep the Spartans at the top of the Big Ten?

Who would you have as the five starting offensive linemen?

Last season saw the Spartans enter the season with several questions along the offensive line. Just when it looked as if things were starting to gel, an injury sidelined Skyler Burkland for the rest of the season. Now Burkland is back and in his absence Fou Fonoti showed he was fully capable of being a big-time player. Seven Spartans have seen action during their career and a couple of young players are pushing for their shot.

With only five offensive linemen being able to start, who gets your vote?

Sklyer Burkland, Fou Fonoti, Chris McDonald, Ethan Ruhland, Travis Jackson, Blake Treadwell, Dan France, Jack Allen, John Deyo

Le'Veon Bell has tasted life in the spotlight, can he handle the pressure of being the full time starter?

One of the reasons Edwin Baker was ready to leave a year before he needed was the emergence of Bell as one of the top power backs in the country. While the staff could always shift between the two in the past, this fall all the pressure sits on the shoulders of Bell.
