Lee Hearing From Spartans

Could Michigan State be next in line to offer Lawrence Central (Ind.) linebacker Brandon Lee? We caught up with the 2014 linebacker for more.

Brandon Lee played a huge role in his team's opening night 70-0 victory over crosstown rival Lawrence North this past Friday.

While it was another day at the office for the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder, his recruiting interest is on the rise and Michigan State could be a team inline to offer.

"I just spoke with (assistant) coach (Dave) Warner," said Lee. "And I've met their receivers coach Terrence Samuel."

While Lee could soon be on the Spartans radar, others have taken notice and extended early offers.

"I've got offers from Indiana, Purdue, Ball State, Iowa and Kentucky," said Lee.

Could a visit to East Lansing happen this fall?

"This summer I've not been calling any coaches," explained Lee. "I've not schedule any game visits for this fall to attend yet. So I'm not sure."

While impressive in his team's season opener, Lee said he spent his summer working to improve his game.

"I've been working hard on picking up my speed and gaining some weight," said Lee. "But I'm not rushing it."
