Last Look Back Defense: Michigan

We take one last look at Saturday's loss to Michigan looking at each position on the defensive side of the ball.

Each week we'll take a look back at each side of the football from the previous game before moving on to the next one. The Michigan State defense was solid but came up short making the most important play of the game at the end.

The Spartans continue to struggle getting pressure from its defensive front four but it was easy to see William Gholston put pressure on Denard Robinson. It was not a great stat day for the guys up front but they did their jobs and allowed for the Spartan linebacker to clean up big on the day.

Again this is the strength of the Spartans defense as Denicos Allen again had a big day posting 11 total tackles with three of them for loss. Max Bullough was right behind with 10 total tackles.

Isaiah Lewis continues to have strong performance in the tackle department with eight on the day. Overall it was a solid but not great performance by the secondary as Michigan receiver Drew Dileo found ways to get open and make the big plays putting the Wolverines in position to make the game winning kick.
