Dalton Connects With Spartans

Ohio offensive lineman Alex Dalton learned more about the interest Michigan State has in him on Wednesday.

Things are starting to pickup for Troy (Ohio) offensive lineman Alex Dalton and the past two days have provided the 6-foot-4, 280-pounder two new offers.

"Oklahoma offered me last night," said Dalton. "Michigan State called today and gave me an offer and we talked for a good while (about 30-40 minutes). I spoke with four coaches from there today.

"I talked with Coach (Harlon) Barnett who is my recruiting coach. I also spoke with Coach (Mark) Dantonio and offensive line coach Mark Staten. The fourth coach I can't remember the name as they are starting to run all together."

One thing the Spartan coaches all stressed with Dalton was the fact they would love to see him on campus.

"I don't know much about Michigan State," said Dalton. "They want to get me on campus to see the facilities and maybe get to a practice. I'll have to see how it fits into my schedule as I've got track meets as well as other visits planned. So it will be a matter of time if I'm able to get up there this spring."

SpartanDigest.com will continue to check in with Dalton for the latest on his interest in the Spartans.
