Williams Hopes To Hear From Spartans

With a teammate just committing to Michigan State and a current Spartans coach having ties to his school, Shahaun Williams hopes to hear more from the Green & White.

Saturday found Youngstown (Ohio) Ursuline defender Shahaun Williams working hard to open eyes during the NUC Junior Day event in Fairfield, Ohio.

Williams, who would leave earning Co-Defensive Line MVP for his work hopes to be one of the next players from Ursuline to earn an offer from the Spartans.

"We just had our quarterback Chris Durkin made his commitment to Michigan State," said Williams. "I have no offers yet, but I know Coach (Pat) Narduzzi likes Ursuline guys and I plan on camping there this summer."

While Williams is hopeful of earning an offer from the Spartans, he is also hearing from others.

"I have no offers yet," said Williams. "But I'm talking with a lot of schools that could be close to offering like Michigan State, Toledo, Kent State and Cincinnati."

If Williams can show the skill set he did on Saturday this summer, do not be surprised if the 6-foot-2, 227-pound Williams has several offers to choose from.
