Ohio Back Talking With Spartans

Ohio running back Bobby Brown has recently been in contact with Michigan State. What have the Spartans told Brown about their interest? We get the latest from the power back.

After the success of Ohio native Le'Veon Bell during his Michigan State career Spartan fans are looking for that next power back to emerge. One prospect in the 2014 recruiting class they could look towards is Middletown (Ohio) Lakota East product Bobby Brown.

Brown, who stands 6-foot, 210-pounds, recently started hearing from the Spartans.

"I just got off the phone with Michigan State," said Brown. "I'm talking with Coach (Harlon) Barnett and he's telling me if I can run a 4.5 forty at camp this summer there is a possibility they would offer me. We also talked about how I was doing in school."

Brown is no stranger to Michigan State having visited this past season.

"I visited Michigan State this past season when they played Eastern Michigan," said Brown. "I'm looking forward to going there again for camp on June 16th."

As for his forty times, Brown is confident he'll be ready.

"I run a 4.5 forty so I'm looking forward to showing them what I've got."
