Allen Feeling No Pressure

With older brother Jack Allen already wearing the Green & White, some might think Brian Allen would be feeling pressure to following the same path. We check in with Allen for the latest on his interest in Michigan State.

The recruiting process is moving along smoothly for Hinsdale (Ill.) Central offensive lineman Brian Allen.

With his older brother Jack coming off a season of success at Michigan State and the Spartans in hot pursuit, some might feel Allen would start to feel some pressure.

"I'm doing good," said Allen. "I'm not really feeling any pressure as everybody is supporting me and it's my decision. So that is kind of where we are with that."

Coming off a recent visit with the Spartans, Allen sees the things his brother saw in the Spartans program.

"Michigan State is high up there and I like them a lot," said Allen. "Even if my brother didn't go there, I would still really be interested in them as Coach (Mark) Dantonio is a great guy.

"It kind of speaks for itself when you go up there and meet them and spend time around the program. It was a good visit and I liked it a lot. It was fun."

When does Allen hope to end the process and make his decision?

"I'm looking to wrap it up sometime in May," said Allen. "I don't really have a top list but I have some favorites. All of the schools are good schools and it's a hard choice as I try to process and narrow them down."

While the Spartans may have an inside advantage, Allen is also looking at Ole Miss and a few other programs. A return trip to East Lansing could also be in the works for the Spartans annual Green & White game.
