Bockheim Looking To Impress Spartans

Sophomore tight end Blake Bockheim looking forward to impressing Michigan State this summer in camp.

Doing both offensive and defensive sessions for the 10th Annual Midwest Elite Football Exposure Camp, Northview high school sophomore Blake Bockheim felt it was a successful day.

Bockheim mentioned that he had a lot of hard work with many defensive drills, but he was able to keep up and hold his own with all the talent around him.

One of the schools that were represented was Ferris State who has shown a lot of interest towards him. Ferris is a school that Bockheim feels at ease with.

"One of the assistant coaches was my high school coach, but he left on to Ferris State my freshman year," he said. "I got a good relationship there."

When Bockheim does move onto the college level he hopes to play tight end.

"Just the aspects of blocking and receiving; being dynamic like that," Bockheim said.

Bockheim has also garnished the interest of Michigan State who has visited him.

"Michigan State has actually visited me at my school: coach Dantonio did," Bockheim said. "They said they were interested in me, they were going to keep in touch with me and they wanted me to keep come to some camps this summer."

Why is Michigan State drawn towards you?

"I would say my size and just the ability I have to move in this kind of body," Bockheim said.
