Spartans Remain High on Harrell's List

Florida native T.J. Harrell continues to be high on Michigan State. Spartan Digest checks in with Harrell on how the Spartans continue to be a program of high interest.

With family that played at Michigan State, T.J. Harrell from Tampa (Fla.) Catholic continues to have the Spartans as one of his top schools.

"Michigan State is still very high on my list," Harrell told Spartans Digest. "I just talked with Coach (Harlon) Barnett and before that I talked with Coach (Mark) Dantonio.

"Michigan State has been in the running since the start and I'm talking my Top Two."

With the Spartans so high does Harrell see an end to his recruitment anytime soon?

"I'm going to narrow it down, take my visits and sit down with my family, friends and coaches," explained Harrell. "So it will probably come down to the last minute."

How have the Spartans remained so high on his list?

"For one my cousin (Jeremy Ware) keeps them in my head," said Harrell. "But at the same time the coaching staff is awesome. The coaching staff is superb and Coach Barnett shows me a lot of love. Coach Dantonio is famous but still just a down to earth guy and I love that about him."

While Harrell may be a late addition to the Spartans class there is still a chance he'll end things early as he's already making plans for his official visit.

"I'm already lined up for my official visit as I'm planning on being there for the Michigan game," said Harrell. "I doubt anything will change the way I feel in a negative way. However, it may change it to the point where I want to make my decision right there and then. So it's just how that visit goes."
