All you have to do is watch film of Drake and you see why Mark Dantonio and his defensive staff liked the Cass Tech product. A two-way performer, Drake comes hard on defense and is not afraid to hit. Something needed to be a key player in the Spartans defensive attack.

Spartan fans always worry when it come to players from Cass Tech as the pipeline to Ann Arbor is a long one. However, Drake seems to be another member of the program that likes what he's seen from East Lansing and the Spartans program being built. On the field the question remains if Drake will play outside or see a move inside and how that will change his game.

Drake is a Big Ten player who saw several conference foes issuing offers. He comes from a program that is just starting to show more interest in the Spartans and is the type of player who will grab the attention of future Cass Tech prospects when they start the recruiting process. On the field the tools are there for Pat Narduzzi and company to mold Drake into the type of player who surprises those who may feel he lacks some of the tools needed to play at a high level.
