Fobbs Looking To Impress Dream School

Monday saw Class of 2015 prospect Chris Fobbs earn his first scholarship offer. While excited about his first offer, he's hoping to have the same success at one of his favorite schools Michigan State.

After a stealer performance at Toledo's satellite camp on Monday night, Chris Fobbs of Miamisburg (Ohio) High School has his mind set on having a great performance Sunday at Michigan State's camp.

"I'm planning to attend Michigan State's camp on Sunday," said Fobbs. "Michigan State is one of my favorite schools and I hope to do really well."

Not only are the Spartans an early favorite, but according to the 6-foot, 184-pound defensive back they are a dream school.

"I've dreamed about playing at Michigan State," said Fobbs. "I like their facilities and like everything about their school and them. They have a great stadium, great fans and a great tradition."

Fobbs is no stranger to the recruiting process as his older brother played at Akron. However, he is surprised by the early offer and increasing interest.

"I'm very surprised by the early attention and this offer means a lot," explained Fobbs. "My older brother was the first person to ever get a football offer and go to college. Now, I also have a chance to go to college and pursue my dreams.

While excited about his first offer, Fobbs was not totally happy with his performance.

"I need to go home and work on my footwork," said Fobbs. "I want to be ready to do my thing at Michigan State and impress the coaches."

As for goals this fall, Fobbs has some things he'd like to accomplish.

"I hope to have over 45 tackles and at least five picks," explained Fobbs. "I want to have a big year so I can show the college coaches that I'm a true corner."
