Spartan Digest first saw Beedle during the National Elite Big Man Camp in Wixom (Mich.) in early February. While we went in hearing more about his teammate Nick Matich, it was Beedle who had the bigger frame and just a little more upside to his overall game. Great burst off the line who is not afraid to mix it up using brute strength.

Spartan fans are going to look at Beedle's offer list and question his ability to play in the Big Ten. However, the Spartans got a double look at Beedle during camp and then following up at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp. This was an offer that was earned and not one just handed out. On the field the question will be how big can Beedle get without losing his quickness and burst off the line.

We like this offer as Beedle is a solid prospect capable of competing early in his career to get reps. If Beedle brings the same things we liked at the camps we've seen him at over the past several months (attitude, quick burst, strength, aggressiveness) Spartan fans will fall in love. Combine Beedle with Enoch Smith Jr. and the Spartans have two solid defensive tackle prospects in the 2014 class. On the field Beedle projects inside but is also capable of lining up on the edge in certain situations.
