Indispensable Spartan #28

Spartan Digest is back with our annual look at the most important Spartans for the upcoming season. Each year we come up with a different theme and this year we'll look at the 30 most indispensable Spartans in 2013. Who is at No. 28?

Michigan State saw George Perles take the field as head coach 30-years ago. Spartan Digest recognizes Perles with this seasons 30 Most Indispensable Spartans with a look at those members of the football team we feel will have major roles if the Spartans are to have success on the field.

Arjen Colquhoun

Hometown: Windsor, Ontario (Canada)

High School: W.F Herman Secondary School

HT: 6-1 WT: 195

Position: Cornerback

Experience: 1 time letter winner

2012 Season: Saw his first game action mostly on special teams earning his first letter. Was solid during the spring posting 10 tackles during the Spartans three spring scrimmages.

Strengths: Good physical size and speed are Colquhoun's main strengths.

Weaknesses: Lacks experience on the field in big-time situations. Will be looked upon to provide depth as he continues to grow as a player on the field.

Overall: Colquhoun makes our list off his spring as the Spartans look to fill depth in 2013. The Canadian native will have a chance to push others for playing time if he enters camp ready and prepared in the mental aspects of the Spartans defensive game plan.
