Highlights: Cole Chewins Offseason

One of the state's top tight end prospects spent his summer on the camp circuit and in 7 on 7 tournaments, and drawing plenty of attention in the process.

Michigan State is well aware of the stockpile of talent at Clarkston, having already picked up a commitment from 2014 defensive tackle David Beedle.

The Spartans have been keeping an eye on 2015 tight end Cole Chewins, as well. Chewins camped at MSU on June 16 and put on a good performance. He also was in attendance at the MSU 7 on 7 camp, as well as Sound Mind Sound Body in Southfield.

The 6-foot-7, 210-pound prospect is someone the Spartans will pay attention to moving forward, as will many Big Ten programs.

Chewins said the MSU staff asked him to come back to a game this fall, and he hopes to do so -- schedules permitting.

Chewins also camped at Michigan, Central Michigan and Minnesota.
