Here is #14

Denicos Allen

HT: 5-11 WT: 218

Position: Sam Linebacker

Experience: Three-time letter winner

2012 Season: Started every game last season at the SAM linebacker spot earning honorable mention All-Big Ten honors. Ranked third on the team in tackles (79) but saw his sack total drop to three after recording 11 the previous season.

Strengths: Has great burst off the edge and understand how to put pressure on quarterbacks. Solid tackler who always seems to step up in big games.

Weaknesses: Will be coming off a foot injury that forced him to miss spring practices so he could be rusty to open up camp.

Overall: A fifth-year senior who has recorded 180 tackles during his career, Allen could be see his sack numbers return to 2011 form if the Spartans can get more pressure from the middle of their defense. Allen enters his final season as a Spartan having played in 40 career games, including 26 consecutive starts after being considered too short to play at a high level by the majority of major college programs.
