Quick Hit Update Daniel Cage

We caught up with one of Michigan State's top remaining targets in Ohio defensive tackle Daniel Cage.

With his senior season ready to begin later this month, Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods defensive tackle Daniel Cage knows many are wondering what direction his recruitment is headed. One program still in the running is Michigan State.

"Right now I'm just worrying about my senior year," said Cage. "I'm going to let my decision and what college I'm going to just come to me. I'm going to pray on it and we're going to come to some conclusion hopefully in September."

While Cage is still considering Louisville, Cincinnati, Nebraska, Florida and Georgia Tech, the Spartans have been working to get Cage and his family on campus.

"I've been really talking a lot with Coach Barnett" he said. "We're trying to make a time and date for me to come up there. Hopefully it's going to be in about two or three weeks."

While some would hope Cage could make the Spartans season opener against Western Michigan, Cage and his Winton Woods teammates are scheduled to open their season the next day against a tough opponent Lakota West. So look for a possible visit by Cage the following week.
