Berrien Springs offensive tackle is sixth commitment from Michigan and third offensive lineman in the 2014 class.
The Spartans class grew by one Saturday at a position of need.
Berrien Springs senior offensive tackle Nick Padla picked up the offer he had long been waiting for from Michigan State and committed shortly after.
The 6-foot-6, 265-pound recruit picked MSU over offers from Cincinnati, Illinois and a few MAC schools.
Padla is the third offensive lineman in the class, joining Hindsale (Ill.) Central center Brian Allen and St. Charles (Ill.) North offensive tackle Chase Gianacakos.
He is the 15th commit in the 2014 class and the sixth from the state of Michigan – the highest total from any state in the class.
He is ranked as the No. 65 offensive tackle and a three-star recruit.
