Cage Working on Plans to Visit MSU

Thursday night Michigan State target Daniel Cage had a chance to play in front of one of the Michigan State coaches. Spartan Digest caught up with Cage for the latest news on his interest in the Spartans.

One thing Daniel Cage got last Thursday night was a good look at future Michigan State defensive back Vayante Copeland when their teams battled on the field.

While Copeland may have been the talk of the night, Cage showed why he's one of Ohio's top prospects and would be a major recruiting victory for the Spartans.

How hard was the game?

"It was a hard game," said Cage. "We played balls to the wall and the hardest workers ended up winning. That ended up being us, so we really appreciate this win and now we're going to work harder and take it into next week's game."

With two touchdown runs by Copeland, Cage learned firsthand how hard it is to defense Dayton (Ohio) Thurgood Marshalls offense.

"It was a very tricky offense to defense and they run it very well," said Cage.

"As for getting on the Michigan State campus, Cage knows some are wondering about the planned visit that didn't happen. He assures everyone his family will be visiting East Lansing soon.

"I was going up to Michigan State but my dad got sick," Cage explained. "But we're going up there soon. I'm talking with Coach Harlon Barnett right now to find out when would be the best time to come up. So we're getting that set up."
