Wesley still hearing from MSU

Illinois wide receiver and Iowa State commit has big game Friday night

Michigan State doesn't have any wide receivers committed for 2014, but the Spartans have their sights set on a couple recruits.

One of the top targets is Harvey (Ill.) Thornton's Jauan Wesley, who is committed to Iowa State.

Wesley said he still is hearing from Michigan State and likes what MSU does offensively.

"They are really productive on offense and they score a lot of points," he said.

Wesley, who committed to Iowa State in July, said he liked the atmosphere in Ames.

"There's just a lot of people to be around it's a good play to be," he said.

Wesley had a big game Friday night against Tinley Park Andrew, with 164 yards on 12 catches and two touchdown grabs.

"I played pretty well," he said. "I could have played a little better to get my team the victory, but I played pretty well overall."

Harvey Thornton is 3-3 on the season and will look to win its remaining games to secure a playoff berth.
