Stalker Looking at Spartans

With one offer already under his belt, C.J. Stalker also has his sights set on the Big Ten and Michigan State. We caught up with the Ohio 2015 linebacker about his interest in the Spartans.

Last spring found Kentucky extending an early offer to West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West linebacker C.J. Stalker with others including Michigan State also showing interest.

"I talked with defensive backs coach Harlon Barnett a few weeks before I received my offer from Kentucky," said Stalker. "I've been receiving stuff in the mail from them and he said they'll be in school towards the end of the season and that will be great."

While not sure what game he'll be looking to attend at this time, Stalker is hopeful he'll make a trip up to East Lansing this fall.

"I'm hoping to go up there soon and an offer from them would be great," he explained. "I grew up watching Big Ten football and dreaming that one day I could possibly play there. The near future has almost become reality and this whole process has been humbling to me. But the Big Ten atmosphere is just great as the fans, students and the culture are things I love about it."

Stalker, who started the season playing outside linebacker, recently moved inside to help his team as they look to compete for a conference title and playoff appearance. So far the move looks to be a positive one for the 6-foot-2, 205-pound junior.
