McKee Will See MSU Soon

This past weekend Anthony McKee was scheduled to visit Michigan State. That trip did not happen but one with the Spartans will be coming soon. caught up with the Ohio 2015 prospect about his thoughts on the Spartans.

This past weekend would have been a good one for Columbus (Ohio) Walnut Ridge linebacker Anthony McKee to see a dominating Michigan State defense. While the trip didn't pan out, McKee is excited to get on campus soon.

"Something came up and I did not make it up," explained McKee. "The plan now is to go up for the Michigan vs. Michigan State game next month. When I come up there, it will be the first time ever to visit."

With teammate Robert Bowers already a pledge to MSU, could their friendship pull McKee towards the Spartans?

"I might go up with Robert," he said. "But I'm not really sure yet."

While McKee continues to add scholarship offers, looking back all the attention was never expected.

"It's really been an honor," said McKee about all the interest. "When I was first coming into high school, I wasn't even thinking about college. But it's been crazy as the coaches have been coming in. It's a real privilege."

From the sound of things, McKee is already building a solid relationship with his main Spartans recruiter.

"I like coach (Mike) Tressel," he said. "He's a good coach to me and we try to talk at least once a week."
