Semper Fi: Madre London

Michigan State running back commit enjoys flight out with Spartans fans on their way to the Rose Bowl. He talks excitement about the Semper Fi game and being committed to the Spartans.

Hopping on his flight to Los Angeles for the Semper Fi All-American Game, Madre London found a pleasant surprise.

The Michigan State commit was surrounded by Spartans fans – who recognized him.

"It was outstanding," he said. "It was a blessing. Everybody on the plane was Michigan State fans and they already knew me. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity that people know me already.

"I'm excited and I'm excited to be in Cali. I'm happy to rep my school."

The St. Thomas Aquinas running back also hopes to see some of his future coaches while he is in LA.

"They told me to call them when I get here so I am just getting settled in and embracing it all," he said. "I'll call them when I get settled down."

Since making his commitment in early November, London said he has liked seeing other pieces fall into place in the 2014 class.

He also said he has been talking to some other recruits, but not pressuring them to pick Michigan State.

"I know how it felt when I was getting pressured in recruiting," he said. "Hopefully, they want to go to Michigan State."

And coming out to the Semper Fi game with his teammate and Miami commit Anthony Moten has been a "blessing" he said.

"Just give all the honor to God and all the hard work is paying off and doing my thing," he said. "I'm ready to meet all the players and I'm ready to play this game. Just embracing the moment."

He also is hoping to take an unofficial visit up to East Lansing in the winter or spring, but if not, he is excited for the summer and arriving on campus.

"I'm excited to put on that jersey and be a part of that," he said. "I will be happy when I step off the plane, enrolling in the school and getting on campus."
