Taylor Looking Forward to Seeing Spartans

Junior defensive lineman Elijah Taylor already holds an offer from Michigan State. Spartan Digest caught up with Taylor to learn more about when he expects to visit East Lansing again.

As an early target of Michigan State, Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller defensive lineman Elijah Taylor is making plans to make a return trip to campus.

"I'm planning on visiting Michigan State when they hold their Junior Day," said Taylor. "I'm still very interested in the Spartans and have a great relationship with the defensive line coach Ron Burton and Coach (Harlon) Barnett as they come and see me all the time."

Right after helping Moeller win a state championship, Taylor and his teammates watched as the Spartans took on Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game.

"We watched the Big Ten Championship game," he said. "I could see myself playing in that defense and coach (John) Rodenberg is trying to simulate our defense to theirs for next season."

Spartan fans have watched Mark Dantonio and his staff make Moeller a pipeline program for the Spartans. Taylor knows there would be some friendly faces to look to if he were to become a Spartan.

"Not only do I have a good relationship with the coaches, I have a few other people up there right now in the program," explained Taylor. "Also the ability for my family to come and see my games will make a difference."
