Stalker Hearing from Spartans

Ohio 2015 linebacker C.J. Stalker has been hearing early from Michigan State and likes what he's seen out of the Spartans over the past couple of years.

With many current members of Michigan State's football program coming from Southwest Ohio, it is no surprise the Spartans are already talking with West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West linebacker C.J. Stalker.

"Michigan State is showing interest," said Stalker. "There is a possible visit coming in a few weeks or in the spring as I've spoke with coach (Harlon) Barnett. I like Coach Barnett a lot and the contact between us is good and I feel a good relationship is starting to form. If something were to come about they would be high on my list."

The reasons for the 6-foot-2, 205-pound junior's interest comes from what he's seen over the past several years since Mark Dantonio has taken over the program.

"Being able to watch them on television and them being a Top 25 ranked team and in contact with me is humbling," he said. "Their success is unbelievable and they have great coaches. It's a great atmosphere up there and it being Big Ten football is big. I love watching football and I've always watched them since I was little. So an offer from there would be huge."

Interest is starting to build for Stalker as he's hearing from several programs and has already been offered by Virginia, Kentucky, Western Michigan and UMass.
