The Skinny

A familiar name joined the 2014 class early to continue a legacy as long as any. The latest Bullough that will wear green and white will join Riley on campus this fall as Max has graduated.

Byron, like his old brothers, projects to be a linebacker and very well could wind up at the middle linebacker spot – that is where he worked out primarily at MSU's summer camp. At the one-day camp, he showed great ability to drop into coverage as he reeled in a few interceptions.

He spearheaded a class of linebackers that was needed to add depth to a position that will be light heading into spring ball in the next couple months. Between Bullough, Chris Frey and Deon Drake, the Spartans addressed a need well.

With some well-established backups moving into starting roles in 2014 at linebacker, Bullough likely will redshirt, but expect him to compete for backup reps the following season. – possibly behind his brother, Riley.
