One player high on Michigan State looking for an offer from the Spartans is Ohio defensive back Kei Beckham. Spartan Digest caught up with Beckham for the latest between him and the Big Ten Champions.
With their success in Southwest Ohio over the past several years, Michigan State
has become a program player's look to earn offers from. Trotwood (Ohio) Madison defensive back Kei Beckham
is no different and it's based on more than just the program's success.
"I've been talking with defensive back coach Harlon Barnett
," said Beckham. "He's on vacation right now, but I'm to give him a call as they were going over my film this past week and he's going to let me know what they think about me."
What would an offer mean to the 5-foot-11, 172-pound defender?
"It would mean a lot," he said. "I really liked them when I visited in the fall and like their defensive style. I also like the players they've produced and think Coach Barnett is a good coach."
Another reason for Beckham's high thoughts about the Spartans comes from incoming defensive back and Dayton, Ohio native Vayante Copeland.
"Vayante and I call each other brothers," Beckham said about the future Spartan. "He said hopefully I can get up there with him."
