Thompson Getting Ready for Spartan Visit

Basketball kept Jordan Thompson from visiting Michigan State several weeks ago. Now with his season over, Thompson is getting ready to travel to East Lansing and learn more about the Spartans.

Already holding an offer from Michigan State, Cincinnati (Ohio) La Salle defensive lineman Jordan Thompson had no choice but miss a planned visit to East Lansing as his basketball team enjoyed a successful season.

With that season now complete, Thompson is ready to see what others have talked about when he visits campus in April.

"This will be my first time to visit Michigan State since I had to cancel during the basketball season," said Thompson. "My coaches went up there and talked with their coaches about the Xs and Os and how we can get better as a team from an X and O standpoint. They all said the campus is real nice and the facilities will wow you."

Leading the charge for the Spartans is Southwest Ohio native Harlon Barnett.

"I've been talking with Coach Barnett and feel I'm starting to build a solid relationship with him," he continued. "He's mentioned he's had a few guys from Cincinnati go up there, but he's been just like a normal person and talks about how the day is going."
