Leever Ready for Spartans Visit

Early in the month Ian Leever talked about his planned trip to Michigan State. Now, just days away from his first visit to East Lansing, the Ohio offensive lineman talks about his recent contact with the Spartans.

There will be no rest for Loveland (Ohio) High School offensive lineman Ian Leever during his spring break. The 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive lineman has already visited a couple of schools and Michigan State is next.

"I'm very excited to get up there and see the facilities," said Leever. "I've heard so much about them and hear they are really nice."

Leever will take in a Spartans practice later this week.

"I'll be visiting Michigan State on Tuesday," he continued. "I've been talking with Coach (Harlon) Barnett a couple times a week and he said they want to get me up there."

Have the Spartans talked about a possible offer?

"Like most of the bigger schools, Coach Barnett said he wants to see me move this spring and possibly get me up to camp in the summer," explained Leever. "Some schools want to see how I'm doing since I had surgery on my shoulder after the season and I fully understand that."

SpartanDigest.com will check with Leever after his visit to East Lansing to learn more about his thoughts about the Spartans.
