Taylor Ready for Extended Stay with Spartans

One of Michigan State's top defensive targets is looking to make an overnight stay this weekend with the Spartans.

Having already made overnight stops at Notre Dame, Tennessee and Ohio State, Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller defensive tackle Elijah Taylor is excited about his next stop.

"I'll probably be going to Michigan State for an overnight stay this weekend," said Taylor. "I'm pretty excited about it as I've not seen Shane (Jones) and Monty (Madaris) for awhile. So it will be really cool to finally see them again."

Taylor has visited East Lansing before; however, he's ready to see more than just the football side of things.

"Really all I've seen at Michigan State was their football facilities and their field," he said. "So I'm trying to see everything academically and hopefully I'll see the dorms and all that Michigan State has to offer."

Because of what is going on at Moeller in a change of defensive philosophy, Taylor is not too worried about the football side of things on this visit.

"I'm not really worried about what they do football wise," he continued. "This year Coach (John) Rodenberg is trying to base our defense off of what they do. So I pretty much know what they do."

With talk of a decision coming at some point in June, Taylor knows he's got a great support group to lean on when the time comes.

"It's going to be a pretty hard decision," he stressed. "I'm going to have to talk with my parents to see what they are thinking and I'll think about it, sleep on it and coach will help me out with my decision to make sure I make the right decision cause I'm not going to turn back afterwards."
