White team edges Green team 20-13

Late TD for the White team provides winning margin

Kurtis Drummond's prediction of a 46-0 win for the White team was not quite accurate, but his team still got the win 20-13 on Saturday in Michigan State's spring game.

Drummond had one of three interceptions of Green team quarterback Tyler O'Connor for his team, as Jermaine Edmondson had one of the first play of the game and Darian Hicks had one to close the game.

Connor Cook had the game-winning touchdown pass to Josiah Price on a 2-yard score. Cook and Price connected for 81 yards on five receptions.

Cook was 11 of 21 with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

O'Connor finished with 138 yards on 12 of 23 passing, while Damion Terry combined to go 2 of 5 for 30 yards while playing for both teams.

Terry opened the game after Edmondson's interception with a 23-yard touchdown run on a jet sweep after lining up at wide receiver. He had 32 yards on three carries and later left the game after taking a big hit from defensive end Demetrius Cooper.

Cooper and his teammate Joel Heath combined for 2.5 sacks. Shilique Calhoun had two sacks for the Green team.

The Green team's Tony Lippett was the leading receiver with seven catches for 96 yards.

Neither team had much success on the ground, with Nick Hill as the leading rusher with 69 yards on 10 attempts and a long of 28.

Demetrious Cox and Ezra Robinson had interceptions for the Green team.
